Currently the Dennis
Police Department has five officers qualified as Motor Police
officers. These officers have all attended and
successfully completed a 40 hour
course of instruction in the safe operation and handling of a
police motorcycle in normal patrol duties and under
emergency conditions. The
police motorcycle is used for traffic control, enforcement and special events
such as parades.
