WANTED LARCENY OF RINGS - COPPLEMEN'S GOLDSMITH

     Dennis Police are investigating the theft of four rings from the Ross Copplemen Goldsmith located on Route 6A in East Dennis.  The theft occurred on Thursday June 22, 2006 between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.

     Police are looking to identify two (2) white males described as follows:

1. Late 30’s to early 40’s, approximately 5’7” in height with a medium build and olive complected skin.  This subject has Brown hair which is styled over the ears and brown eyes.  He was wearing dark clothing and spoke with a possible New York or Boston accent.

2. Mid to late 40’s, approximately 5’10” in height and thin build.  This subject had a pale complexion with dirty blonde short hair.  He was wearing khaki pants and a light colored shirt.

     The subjects entered the store together and suspect #1 engaged the clerk in conversation about purchasing an engagement ring, having the clerk retrieve and show various items on display in various cases throughout the shop.  While showing the first suspect merchandise suspect #2 wandered the store out of view of the clerk.   The suspects left the store without purchasing anything but stating that they would return at a later time.

     The theft was not discovered until after the suspects had left the store.

     Stolen were the following items:

• An 18K platinum gold 1 ct round diamond ring, size 8
• An 18k yellow gold, wide, wedding band with different shapes in design.
• Platinum and diamond narrow eternity wedding ban, size 6.
• An 18k oval rail band made of yellow gold with a center stone of approximately ¼ ct trillion diamond in a triangle shape.  This item had two smaller diamonds on either side.

     The total value of the items stolen were more than $12,000

SUSPECT#1

Late 30’s to early 40’s, approximately 5’7” in height with a medium build and olive complexion.  This subject has Brown hair which is styled over the ears and brown eyes.  He was wearing dark clothing and spoke with a possible New York or Boston accent.

SUSPECT# 2

White/Male, Mid to late 40’s, approximately 5’10” in height and thin build.  This subject had a pale complexion with dirty blonde short hair.  He was wearing khaki pants and a light colored shirt.
