The 12^th annual Dennis Bike Rodeo for children was held on Saturday May 14, 2005 in the public parking lot at the rear of the Dennis Public Library.

     The rodeo included events such as a slalom race, bike obstacle course, slow bike race and a demonstration of bike riding proficiency by the Dennis Police Department’s Bicycle Patrol Unit.  In addition Barb’s Bike Shop of South Dennis was on hand to inspect and provide minor tune ups on all the bikes.

     Free helmets, courtesy of the Governor’s Highway Safety Bureau and Dennis-Yarmouth Kiwanis were provided to those without. 

     The event was co-sponsored by the Dennis Police Department, Governor’s Highway Safety Bureau, Dennisport Business Association, Dennis-Yarmouth Kiwanis, Barb’s Bike Shop and Friendly's Restaurant.
